LEAPS AND BOUNDS

Dance has always intrigued me. I work to music, and the placement of figures in each painting is a kind of visual and psychological choreography. In this series, the dancers begin in interior rooms, then leap and soar through the air. The airborne figures have a birds-eye view of cloud formations, wildly patterned fields, mountains, and rivers.  Some land in the sea, or revel on hillsides in a tour-de-force dance of life.
