The conjunction of women and birds evokes an especially vivid dream. Birds, especially seabirds, have long been incorporated into my work, sometimes as companions, other times as avatars of change, growth, or escape.

This series of paintings, offered as archival prints, occupies a cerebral, mythic landscape, full of mysterious encounters. These introspective girls and women are often on the cusp of change. They are contemplating their futures, preparing their imaginations - and their lives - to take flight.
