This work was inspired by a quote from Terry Tempest Williams: "When women were birds, there was the simple understanding to sing at dawn, and to sing at dusk, was to heal the world through joy." There is a quiet stillness to this painting, a sense of peace and harmony. The woman is in sync with her nature, one with the birds, the reflective water, and the brilliant, but dusky, sky.
